GLIER’S GOETTAFEST 2018, August 2,3,4,5


Glier’s Goettafest will be returning for the 18th consecutive year on August 2-5 at Newport’s Riverfront Levee. Goetta (pronounced get-uh) is a delicious blend of pork, beef, spices and nutritious steel cut oats that also comes in hot or turkey varieties. Glier’s Meats, founded in 1946, is the largest producer of goetta in the world.

Due to the constant growth of Glier’s Goettafest we are anticipating crowds of 200,000 or more to join us in this years celebrating.

2018 will feature over 40 different delicious goetta recipes including some items from new vendors that are participating for the first year. Try everything from Goetta Balls to Goetta Tamales, Goetta Pizza, Goetta B.B.Q. Sandwich, Goetta Nachos, Goetta Hoagie, Goetta Fried Rice and Bacon Goetta Cheese Coneys. Also, being served are Glier’s brats and metts that are available at the retail level, check your local, Kroger, Remke Biggs and Jungle Jim’s. We also have many non-Goetta items and desserts for those who like to try a little something different while at the festival.


Glier’s Goettafest has two stages, the TopGolf Stage and the Goetta Stage, featuring some of the areas hottest bands entertaining us with FREE performances all weekend long. There will be plenty of room to relax in the shade and tap your toe or to tear up the dance floor. 


Hear the laughter of children as they get their face’s painted, enjoy the rides and win prizes playing the many goetta theme games with the proceeds going to benefit local charity Dragonfly Foundation.

Relax in Greater Cincinnati’s only Air-conditioned dining tent, providing a cool place to enjoy your Goetta all weekend long.

Also, don’t forget about the Glier’s Goetta History booth, the world’s only Goetta Vending Machine, or show your skill on the speed pitch and dunk tank or your strength on the High Stryker.
